F0 E3 means overload
The load is too heavy for the washer, or the basket cannot be turned. The two Maytag series are handled a little differently.
Front load series
Cycle power to the control. Unplug the washer for 5 minutes, then plug it back in, and see whether the code returns.
Top load series
An overload recovery cycle runs. Check the Cycle Guide and the use instructions for your washer, and call for service if the problem persists. To avoid it:
- Keep the load balanced and not tightly packed.
- Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall, dry items only.
- Add only 1 or 2 garments after the washer has started.
- Empty pockets and use garment bags for small items, since small items can get caught in a pump or between basket and tub.
