What this code means
F0 E2
F0 E2 means the washer has detected excessive suds in the basket.
What F0 E2 means
F0 E2 is the oversuds code. The washer has detected too many suds, and your load may not be fully rinsed or the water may not be fully removed.
Front load washers
The washer runs an automatic suds reduction routine to remove most of the excess suds, so let it keep running. Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Non-HE detergent, or more than the recommended amount, can cause excess suds. They can also lower the spin speed, leaving very wet loads, and add rinses that lengthen the cycle.
- “Sud” or “Sd” with the Rinse status light on: the washer is removing suds, so let the cycle continue.
- “Sud” or “Sd” with the Cycle Complete light on: too many suds were detected, so the load may not be thoroughly rinsed. You may want to select a Rinse/Spin cycle.
- Bulk dispenser: if it is enabled, do not add extra detergent to the load.
Top load washers
The advice is the same on detergent: use only HE detergent and the manufacturer’s recommended amount. For “no splash” or “easy-pour” liquid chlorine bleach, which contains a thickening agent that may create excess suds, run the washer empty with regular liquid bleach, or clean it with a washer cleaning product before the next load. A Rinse/Spin cycle can finish the rinsing.
