Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy
How cancellations, rescheduling, diagnostic fees, parts and completed repair charges are handled for Maytag appliance service appointments.
Refunds, returns & cancellations
This Refund, Return, and Cancellation Policy explains how Maytag Appliance Service handles appointment changes, diagnostic fees, parts, and completed repair charges.
-
Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment
You may cancel or reschedule a confirmed visit by phone or through our contact page. Please give us as much notice as possible — ideally at least 24 hours before the appointment window — so we can offer the slot to another customer.
-
Late cancellations and no-shows
If you cancel with very little notice, are not available during the agreed window, or we cannot safely access the appliance after arriving as scheduled, a trip or diagnostic fee may still apply. Any applicable fee is explained when we confirm your appointment.
-
When we need to change the visit
Occasionally we must reschedule because of traffic, prior emergency jobs, parts delays, or safety conditions. We will notify you as soon as practical and offer a new window at no extra cancellation charge.
-
Diagnostic and service call fees
A diagnostic or service call fee covers the on-site inspection and testing needed to identify the fault. If you approve a repair during the same visit, that fee may be credited toward the approved repair, as stated on your estimate.
-
Estimates you decline
If you decline the repair after diagnosis, you remain responsible only for any agreed diagnostic or service call fee. No parts are ordered or installed without your approval, and no repair charge is applied.
-
Parts and returns
Because appliance parts are ordered for a specific model and job, opened or installed parts generally cannot be returned. Unused parts that were specially ordered may be non-refundable once purchased from the supplier. We confirm part cost and lead time with you before ordering.
-
Wrong part or shipping damage
If a part arrives damaged or does not match the approved order, contact us right away with photos when possible. We will arrange a replacement through the supplier and will not charge you for a supplier error.
-
Completed repairs and refunds
Charges for completed, approved repair work are due as agreed at booking or on the estimate. Refund requests for completed work are reviewed case by case when the approved symptom was not resolved under applicable workmanship warranty terms.
-
Warranty-related replacements
If a covered repair fails within the workmanship warranty period, contact us promptly. We will inspect the issue and, where the warranty applies, correct the covered work according to your warranty documentation.
-
How to request a change or refund
Contact us with your name, phone number, appointment or invoice date, and a short description of the request. We typically respond the during business hours.
-
Payment disputes
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us before disputing the charge with your bank or card issuer so we can review the invoice and resolve the issue quickly.
