What this code means
F61
A possible touch control, power control module, wiring or supply problem.
F61 may mean a problem with the touch control, the power control module, the wiring, or the electrical supply.
The manual’s answer is a short power reset.
Try this first
Open the breaker(s) that supply the cooktop and give it one minute without power. Close the breaker(s) so the cooktop has power again. For the next minute, see if the display shows the code again. Test that the cooktop runs normally again.
A repeat of the code after the reset means the cooktop should be looked at by a technician.
