What this code means
FC E1
Connected-appliance Wi-Fi problem: connection time out, poor signal, router, or Wi-Fi module.
On a connected Maytag range, FC E1 tells you the appliance could not connect to the router. Maytag lists several possible reasons: a connection time out, weak signal strength, a failed router, the Wi-Fi Module inside the appliance, or the wiring that goes with it.
Start with the range
Turn the circuit breaker(s) off for one minute, switch them on again, and watch the range for a minute. Then check that it operates normally.
Then the router
The manual describes the fault as no link between the Wi-Fi Module and your wireless router, so reset the router too. Ask whether another Wi-Fi device in the house works properly, such as a phone or tablet.
Weak signal
If your wireless signal is not strong (not all bars showing), the manual suggests moving the router somewhere else in the home, adding a compatible signal extender, or contacting your Internet Service Provider.
