What this code means
F9-1
There may be a problem with the Oven Door Latch, the Door Lock Switch, or the associated wiring.
F9-1 on a Maytag range is a door-lock family code. Maytag says there may be a problem with the oven door latch, the door lock switch, or the associated wiring.
Power reset
Switch the range off at the circuit breaker(s) for one minute and back on. Then monitor the oven for one minute to make sure F9-1 does not show again, and verify oven operation.
If F9-1 returns
Call for service; the latch, lock switch and wiring are for a technician to check.
Siblings
F9-2 and F9-3 use exactly the same wording. F9E0 is a different kind of fault: mis-wired house or range power.
