LoC or LC means the control lock is on.
On a front load Maytag washer, LoC or LC (depending on the model) is not an error. The control lock is activated.
What it does
With the control lock on, the controls will not function. If you push buttons you may see LoC or LC, a reminder that the lock is set and must be deactivated before the controls work.
Turning it off
Touch and hold the Control Lock button for 3 seconds. The display counts down 3, 2, 1, and then shows LC or LoC. On older models, your Owner’s Manual shows which button activates control lock, and some models require you to press and hold it. You can still touch START to pause the cycle or POWER to turn the washer off.
