What this code means
F20

F20 on a front-load Maytag washer means the machine is not getting enough water. Maytag calls it a water inlet problem: either no water or an insufficient supply.
Three questions to answer
- Are both the hot and cold water faucets completely turned on?
- Are the water inlet screens clogged?
- Are the water inlet hoses kinked?
Then power-cycle
Resetting the control can sometimes clear a fault, in the same way a computer restart does. Keep the washer unplugged for 5 minutes, plug it in, and watch the display.
