Maytag Dryer F3 E2 Error Code

The F3 E2 error code on a Maytag dryer means the moisture sensor has not registered data for five consecutive loads. The same text is given for household and commercial dryers.

Clear it

Press the Power button. That clears the code and lets you restart the dryer. If the problem persists, call for service.

Two things to check

Is the dryer level?

If the dryer is not level, the clothes might not contact the moisture sensors inside the drum. Use a level and raise or lower the dryer feet. Dryer tops can be curved, so rely on the cabinet edge or another surface for the reading.

Was the load small?

A very small load or a lone item may miss the sensors. A larger load helps, as does an Automatic cycle in place of a Timed Dry cycle.

Power cycle

When the code lingers, switch the circuit breaker(s) off for one minute and back on, then run a time dry cycle and watch it for one minute.
