The ERR code appears when the dryer door has not been completely closed and latched. The dryer will not run unless the door is closed.
Is the door latched correctly?
The door can look shut without being latched. Push on it to engage the latch or latches. Some models have an upper and a lower latch, and both must be secure for the dryer to run.
Cycle power
- Turn off the circuit breaker(s) for 5 minutes.
- Turn the circuit breaker(s) on.
- Start a time dry cycle.
- Monitor the dryer for 5 minutes to make sure the code does not display again.
